We tweet — do you tweet? Okay, I’ll be the first to admit my skepticism over the Twitter phenomenon. But, we gave it a try, and the more I use it, the more I see the applications. Tweets (as Twitter messages are called) are very short, with a maximum of 140 characters (that’s characters, not words). Some folks seem to use Twitter as their main communication tool, but most companies and individuals use it to make quick announcements or comments, often with a link for more information. Yes, a great number of companies are using Twitter now, especially to promote events. Celebs use Twitter to build a connection with their fans.
