Goodness, but it was a lot of work to “make” a book bad in the olden days! While ink-on-paper books still require these same steps, the process has been greatly improved — especially the typesetting part. I am actually old enough to have started the very beginning of my career during the “hot metal type” era. I wouldn’t want to go back, that’s for sure!
